    Description

Up for auction is a VINTAGE Green Day Dookie XL Tour shirt from 1994! This is the Basket Case shirt that they released on tour as their single for the song was tearing up the charts. What's unique about this shirt is that they kept the same design going into their 1995 tour and most of the versions of this shirt that you'll find on the market are the 1995 variant whereas this is the rarer 1994 version. As Dookie reaches its 30 year anniversary, you can expect there to be a lot of hype around the album and memorabilia from this time period is likely to skyrocket. This shirt in particular is special because of the Basket Case tie in, which of course was their breakthrough hit. The shirt features the "Anvil" tag which is consistent with the other shirts from their 1994 tour.
The shirt is in used condition. The front graphic has some fading and there's some staining under the right armpit and some light staining under the left armpit (refer to the photos for reference). There's no holes in the front of the shirt but on the back of the shirt there's a small hole on the left sleeve, a small hole on the back graphic on the letter "C" and 2 other tiny holes on the back (see photos for reference). The back graphic also has some fading. There's also a little wear on the top of the collar but nothing too notable (see photos). Despite the laser focused attention to detail, the shirt is in pretty good condition and still looks great for a display piece or to wear (a definite conversation starter!).
Green Day is an evergreen band that only grows in importance as the years go by. Dookie (along with American Idiot) will always be the flagship album and memorabilia from this time is becoming harder and harder to come by. Add this piece of rock and roll memorabilia to your collection! Best of luck to the bidders
