    Description

    This is a very pretty vintage artisan handwoven Mayan Guatemalan folk art wool blanket. It measures 78” x 55”. It is in gently pre-owned condition. There are no stains. There is one small hole which I’ve identified in the photo gallery. It is barely noticeable. The back drop is cream in color. The thinner stripes are gray, brown and rusty red. There are two bolder stripes of brown and gray. The colors of the figures are still vibrant but are muted tones of olive, rustic red, brown, golden yellow and pale teal. Truly a wonderful blend. Each end has fringe however there is some missing. Despite this the integrity of this piece is still very strong and beautiful. Unfortunately, I do not know the history or age of this blanket.
