BEAUTIFUL VINTAGE JAPANESE EMBROIDERED 2-SIDED SILK KIMONO

Up for the auction is a rare and beautiful vintage (from approx. 1920’s) Japanese embroidered and painted light cream color silk women kimono. The embroidery of the kimono features 2 dragons surrounded with flowers on the back and some flowers on the front. The inner side of the kimono is painted in bright colors. The painting features a village with a river running in the center and blooming flowers and plants with small houses on both sides of the river.
The embroidery worked I bright multi- colored threads and couched with golden metallic threads.
The kimono measures 41.5” (105.4 cm) long, 26” (66 cm) from armpit to armpit laying flat, and 50” (127 cm) from end of one sleeve to end of the other sleeve.
Condition: good vintage
condition overall with no significant damages or imperfection aside tearing to the collar and near the neck area (see pictures). Otherwise good.
