    ANTIQUE EARLY 20th CENTURY CHINESE SILK FOO DOG EMBROIDERED PANEL/ TABLE FRONTAL 95.5 cm x 89 cm!
    Up for the auction is a beautiful rare antique early 20th c Chinese silk embroidered panel/ table frontal with 4 Foo Dogs, a big central vase and other Buddhist auspicious symbols.
    On a red color silk material features central big vase with fruits and 4 Foo Dogs in each of the corner of the silk; they are surrounded with blooming flowers and geometrical “Greek” figures border. Embroidered in couching technique using golden metallic threads and pink, blue, and green, colors silk threads using satin stitches (for the flowers, some foliage, and details of the Foo Dogs fur).
    The panel measures 37.5” (95.5 cm) long x 35” (89 cm) wide.

    antique condition overall with no serious damages or imperfections aside probably some staining to the pink linen material of the upper border (see pictures) and slight water staining to the pink linen lining (visible only on the reverse side on the lining).
